Automatic Loading and Unloading System for 24/7 Fiber Laser Cutting Production

A smart kitchen appliance manufacturer in Vietnam needed to upgrade its sheet metal fabrication process for higher output, more stable part quality, and lower manual handling pressure. The customer mainly produces metal panels and structural components for modern kitchen appliances, where cutting accuracy, clean edges, surface protection, and production continuity are critical.

To support this production upgrade, STON CNC provided an Automatic Loading & Unloading System connected with the customer’s fiber laser cutting machine. The upgraded line allows automatic sheet picking, feeding, positioning, unloading, and stacking, helping the factory move from labor-intensive cutting to a more continuous unmanned production workflow.

Before the upgrade, the customer’s laser cutting process still relied heavily on manual sheet loading and finished-part removal. This created several production bottlenecks:

• Manual loading limited the utilization rate of the laser cutting machine.
• Heavy sheet handling increased labor intensity and safety pressure.
• Night-shift production was difficult to maintain with stable efficiency.
• Finished parts needed more organized stacking before the next process.
• High-mix kitchen appliance orders required a more flexible automation workflow.

STON CNC designed the solution around the customer’s existing production requirements, sheet sizes, workshop layout, and future capacity expansion plan.

STON integrated an Automatic Loading & Unloading System with the customer’s fiber laser cutter to build a more efficient sheet metal cutting cell.

The system supports automatic raw sheet picking, accurate feeding, stable positioning, finished-part unloading, and organized stacking. By reducing manual transfer between material storage and the laser cutting machine, the production line can run with higher continuity and better machine utilization.

For kitchen appliance manufacturing, this solution is especially suitable for processing stainless steel sheets, pre-painted steel panels, aluminum sheets, and other metal materials used in visible appliance parts.
